Beargrass Creek Cleanup Results

KWA partnered with Louisville MSD and Louisville Parks & Recreation for a creek cleanup along 5 different sites of the Middle Fork of Beargrass Creek in Louisville, KY on November 7. This was a community outreach event as part of a 319 watershed planning project.

Cleanup results:

• Cherokee Park at Lexington Road – 14 bags of trash - 16 volunteers
• Cherokee Park at Big Rock – 14 bags of trash – 11 volunteer
• Forest Green Trail – 10 bags of trash – 12 volunteers
• Arthur K Draut – 11 bags of trash – 10 volunteers
• A.B. Sawyer – 13 bags of trash – 9 volunteers

 
For a total of 62 bags of trash, a play house, a shopping cart and a tire all collected by 58 volunteers!
