Restoring Kentucky’s waterways is a huge job. Humans have effected our waterways with a large range of pollutants and restoration is needed to mitigate those areas with detrimental impacts.
At KWA, restoration means returning an aquatic ecosystem to predisturbance aquatic functions and related physical, chemical and biological characteristics. We accomplish this goal by coordinating with national, state-wide and local partners and with the help of concerned citizen volunteers.
