Public Meeting: 401 Water Quality Certifications

A public hearing will be held on the following Kentucky Administrative Regulations (KAR) concerning 401 Water Quality Certifications, a requirement for a US Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 permit:

• 401 KAR 9:010 Section 401 Individual Water Quality Certification public notice
• 401 KAR 9:020 Section 401 Water Quality Certification Fees

The public hearing will be held on April 22, 2008 at 10 a.m. in conference D-16 of the Department for Natural Resources at #2 Hudson Hollow in Frankfort.

The USACE 404 permit is required to fill "waters of the United States" such as wetlands and valley fills.
