A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to help us "Clean the Cumberland!" Together, we can make a difference in the health of KY's waterways!
We successfully worked together to clean out the headwaters of the Cumberland River with our friends from the Paddle Sports Committee of the Harlan County Recreation Board Authority!
Harlan County won the KWA cleanup contest submitted by Cathryn Forester and together we mobilized nearly 70 people to help clean-up the precious headwaters of the Cumberland River.
Special appreciation goes out to everyone who made this clean-up celebration a success especially Cathryn and her husband Croley Forester and Brandon Goins of the Harlan County Recreation Board Authority. Your heart, spirit, and enthusiasm for a healthier river are what it takes to make sure our waterways are restored and protected for future generations.
